Focus on Encapsulation Cleaning
In places with a lot of continuous foot traffic, encapsulation cleaning is a popular solution because it does not use a lot of water and thus doesn’t require extended drying time. It’s also used between periodic deep cleans of an area. Cleaning begins with a thorough pre-vacuum to remove any dry dirt or dust gathered in the carpeting. Then, our technicians follow a three-step method: Spray-Trap-Freeze. We first spray a special detergent solution on the carpet, spreading the solution throughout with the use of a rotary agitation machine or cylindrical brush system. The liquid then grabs all hidden oil, dirt and sticky grease before it “freezes”—it dries and hardens into tiny crystals that lock the dirt inside. With a thorough vacuuming, the dirt and other contaminants are gone, leaving behind a fresh, clean carpet.
Absorbent Compounds for Natural Fiber Carpets
When a stain-producing liquid like coffee or a bad-smelling liquid like cat urine gets into natural fiber carpeting, we apply absorbent compounds such as wood pulp or polymer flakes directly into the carpeting. This is our preferred method for carpets composed of natural fibers that cannot be cleaned through hot water extraction. Depending on the penetration of the stain, we will sometimes leave the compound overnight for maximum effectiveness. We next vacuum the absorbent up, removing the stain and odors with it, repeating this method until they’re gone.

Carpeting Cleaning Services FAQs
What kinds of carpeting do you clean?
Our experts are skilled in cleaning all kinds of carpeting and rugs, including commercial carpet tile, area rugs, broadloom carpet, and natural fiber carpets such as those made of wool and silk. We can also service higher-end carpeting such as wood pulp carpet.
Can wool be cleaned with hot water extraction?
It’s a common misconception that wool can’t be cleaned with water. Actually, it’s a wool carpet’s cotton weft backing that can be negatively affected by hot water treatment. If these backings get exposed to too much hot water, the carpet expands and can pop. This is why hot water extraction is not recommended for wool rugs.
How do you get nasty smells out of a carpet?
Expert Spot and Stain Removal
Deeply ingrained spots or stains are an eyesore that can immediately cause visitors or customers to form negative opinions of your business. To eliminate or reduce these visual nuisances, we recommend a restorative carpet cleaning treatment. This starts with a simple pre-vacuum of the area to remove loose dirt and dust. Next, we use a counter-rotational brush machine to pre-treat and pre-scrub the carpeting. We follow this with hot water extraction, and after the carpet has dried, we spot treat it as necessary.
Bonus FAQ: What Material is My Carpeting Made of?
It might seem like an easy question, but most people don’t know the answer to it! Whether it’s wool, nylon, polyester or something else, an expert carpet cleaning technician can identify which type of carpeting is in your space, and recommend the best ways to clean it.
