Germs Can Get Anywhere. So Can We.
Some facilities need more than a standard cleaning service. If you have hard-to-reach surfaces in your facility, dust and germs will build up. This increases the risk for disease spread and grime build-up. Clean Method’s expert technicians use advanced electrostatic and disinfecting technology to provide a 360° clean for challenging three-dimensional surfaces—protecting against disease spread and improving cleanliness throughout your facility.
What is Electrostatic Disinfecting?
Electrostatic disinfecting (electrostatic cleaning) is a touchless application of chemicals using a cordless handheld machine to efficiently and evenly coat surfaces with a disinfecting solution. It uses molecular chemistry to distribute disinfectants evenly across all applied services, creating 360° of coverage. This reduces contamination risks and prevents disinfectant drip while disrupting mold or bacterial outbreak colonies. Electrostatic disinfecting helps eliminate germs that otherwise thrive in hard-to-clean environments.

Our Electrostatic & Fogging Disinfecting Services:
- Offer 360° coverage to all applied surfaces in your facility
- Reduce the risk of cross-contamination from touch application processes
- Prevent dripping by allowing for disinfectants to hold cationic charge
- Distribute evenly and allow for required disinfectant dwell times
- Penetrate hard-to-reach surfaces and spaces to eliminate germs that might otherwise be missed by standard spraying and wiping
- Use on average 65% less chemicals per square foot than standard cleaning
Give your facility a next-level clean.
We have been using this service from almost the beginning of the pandemic. Clean Method was able to get us on their schedule quickly, and the technology they use gave us a high degree of confidence that our areas were sanitized.

What is Fogging Disinfecting?
Fogging disinfecting releases an even stream of sanitizing droplets into cubic volumes of air in your facilities. These droplets settle into the ubiquitous and unseen cracks and corners that harbor bacteria and viruses. Our fogging disinfecting technicians can get into spaces where standard service crews can’t: the hard-to-reach places in large warehouses or storage facilities—places rarely cleaned by hand.
How it works:
- Emits chargeless molecules from a specialized corded backpack application machine
- Uses larger particle sizes that efficiently disperse disinfectant solution
- Reduces allergens and kills disease-causing germs
The Science Behind Electrostatic Disinfecting
An elegantly engineered solution for the three-dimensional environment.
Using complex chemical engineering and molecular relationships, electrostatic disinfecting increases overall coverage to eliminate disease-causing bacteria and viruses. The electrostatic applicator applies negative charge to disinfecting solution as it leaves the application tool. Charged molecules repel each other and distribute evenly over applied surfaces. The web of charged disinfectant particles, between 40 and 110 microns in size, settle into otherwise unreachable areas.
Electrostatic & Fogging Disinfecting Services FAQs
How soon can a space be used after an electrostatic and/or fogging disinfecting service?
Spaces can be used an hour after electrostatic and fogging disinfectant services have been performed. We recommend that all personnel vacate the service area during these services, and that all air units and fans be shut off until the space is reoccupied.
How often should electrostatic/fogging disinfecting services be conducted?
They can be conducted as often as required by the site and situation. Medical facilities typically require more frequent services. During peak flu seasons, sensitive facilities (e.g., education centers, sports facilities) tend to increase their service frequency.
How long does the service last on the treated areas?
The service lasts throughout the chemical dwell time and as long as the space is not reinfected with bacteria and/or viruses. If you think a space has become reinfected, then we recommend follow-up electrostatic/fogging disinfecting services.
Advanced Technology, Deep Experience
The fogging process for decontaminating work areas has been around for a while, but not everyone knows how to use the most modern versions of the technology. Our experienced cleaning experts use stainless steel nozzles: these hold up over time and disperse the solutions safely and consistently. Other things you can count on from Clean Method:
- We use CDC N-list cleaning solutions that are safe around delicate areas and electronics
- We spray the solution in a way that doesn’t wet down the area, but still saturates the space and the atmosphere with a fine mist or fog
- We give the fogger about 15-30 minutes to work depending on the size of the space
